The project poster displays a MATLAB/Simulink model of an islandable microgrid that was used to test and compare different control methods for implementing virtual inertia on a power system that has only inverter-based generation. The control subsystem is also displayed on the poster. The results are displayed as simple time-series graphs of the variables of concern. There is a brief introduction to the concept of inertia in power systems and a graphic that aids in understanding this concept.
